Allyx Young - Assisant National Marketing Director
Growing up in the Saginaw Valley, a farming community in Michigan, Allyx, majoring in Art, graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and performed extensive post-graduate work at Michigan State University. At CMU she was elected to Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities. After teaching in her hometown of Chesaning, MI for several years and working in an architectural firm in Lansing, MI, she and her husband, a veterinarian, moved to Tulsa Oklahoma.
In Jenks, a Tulsa suburb, Allyx continued to teach and lead an award-winning 4-H horse club. She was also a professional horse photographer.
For ten years, Allyx was the president of Swan Refuse, Inc., a private refuse company she founded, which contracted with the city of Tulsa. During this time Tulsa negotiated to establish the Walter B. Hall Resource Recovery Facility to process solid municipal waste rather than dumping it into private landfills.
Allyx has created names and logos for several clients' businesses as a design consultant. Several years ago she obtained her Insurance Agent’s license for life and health insurance while working in a financial planning and insurance office. Recently she became a currency trader and has been actively trading in the forex (foreign exchange) currency market.
Along the way, her three children, Chandra, working for IBM in the computer field, Bree, a child portrait photographer and Chase, an executive chef, have kept her actively involved with their lives and careers. Allyx’s hobbies are horses, traveling, dancing, do-it-yourself projects, recycling, photography, landscaping, Internet research and baking pies. For many years Allyx showed Quarter horses, Arabians, Paints and Pintos, riding a champion Pinto mare to two International championships in dressage.
