O. Edwin Adams, Esq. - General Counsel
Ed has a B.S. in Geology from Oklahoma University and an LL.B. from Oklahoma University College of Law. He was a law clerk for the Chief Justice in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, served as general attorney for Exxon Company, USA, for seven years and for four years as chief counsel for Basix Corporation (NYSE).
He has over forty-one years of experience in the practice of law and has practiced in both the public and private sectors. His experience includes international and domestic oil and gas-related matters, banking, securities, general corporate matters and contractual and risk avoidance issues.
For twenty-one years Ed was in private practice as a shareholder and director of Sneed, Lang, Adams & Barnett, a well-known and prestigious law firm in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Recently, he served as General Counsel to a full-service engineering company (Edeco, Inc.).
Ed holds a commercial pilot's license, having served in the U.S. Air Force as a pilot for nine years. He is active in St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church, where he has previously served on the Vestry and as Junior and Senior Warden. He has also served his church, where he served as a member of the Bishops' Counsel for the Diocese of Oklahoma and as Chairman of the Diocesan Annual Convention. Ed is active in Kiwanis, where he holds the honor of Distinguished Past President, is a former Member, Board of Directors for the Miss Oklahoma Scholarship Pageant, and is an avid runner, belonging to the Tulsa Running Club and participating in many marathons. He has received awards from the Law Review, Oklahoma University College of Law and the Kiwanis Club.
Ed and his wife, Susan, have three children and eight grandchildren.
