Len graduated from Southern Illinois University 1965 with a BA in Education. He immediately entered eastern Illinois’ public education system as a teacher and a coach while pursuing an MA in Education Administration from Eastern Illinois University. Len then took a position in western Illinois as a high school Principal where he helped to establish a two-class system in high school sports, experimented in class scheduling models and was an administrator of the 50th anniversary of the oldest invitational basketball tournament in the state.
For the past 35 years Len has held various positions in the agriculture business. He initially served as Vice-President of Retail Sales at a private business in Illinois before moving to Tulsa in 1980 to assume a trading position with an international fertilizer trader. Len helped move the company into the computer age through his work as Project Leader in a logistics and trading program. In 1986 he was appointed Vice-President of Trading where he was instrumental in moving the company into Unlike Product Exchange Trading and online commodity trading. He also served on the Executive Committee where he participated in expanding a domestic trading infrastructure to support export capabilities. Most recently, Len has been working with a major grain and fertilizer company to establish a domestic presence in the Arkansas River Valley.
Len and Connie, his wife of over 41 years, live in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They have three beautiful daughters who have blessed them with nine fantastic grandchildren. Len and Connie celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary with an Alaskan cruise.
Len has earned additional post-graduate work at Oral Roberts University with diplomas in the inaugural class of Ministry Training and Development Institute and its School of Ministry and Healing. He is an avid student of the Bible and is currently doing research in order to write a book on the Bible Creation Model.
Active in many civic and church affairs, Len has served as: member and President of a school board; member and Treasurer of a church board; member of a volunteer fire department; member and President of a Homeowners Association, where he initiated a Neighborhood Alert Neighbors Watch Program. Len is also a 1997 graduate of the Tulsa Citizen’s Police Academy.
