The Intrepid Capital Group, LLC is responsible for analyzing, structuring and placing or funding all debt and equity financings on behalf of The Intrepid Equity Group as well as for all affiliates and selected clients. It is a sister company to The Intrepid Equity Group and conducts all related investment banking endeavors.

The management and ownership of the Intrepid Group of Companies enjoy on-going and close relationships with numerous major investment banks on Wall Street, as well as with many national and local banking and lending institutions of various kinds and sizes. Our ownership includes current and former bank Chairmen, Presidents and CEOs of a number of major national and multi-national corporations. The Intrepid Capital Group, LLC is uniquely positioned in the financial marketplace to provide or arrange financing for viable deals of virtually any size, anywhere in the continental United States.

Mr. Daniel R. Mytels (Dan), Managing Director.  Mr. Mytels has many years of experience in private equity and investment banking and has facilitated the successful buyout and/or acquisition of numerous profitable middle market companies. He currently serves and has previously served on the boards of directors of several leading closely-held companies. Before establishing The Intrepid Capital Group, LLC, Mr. Mytels founded a successful boutique investment bank that specialized in providing merger & acquisition and private placement services to middle market companies in $5M - $500M deals. In this capacity he led advisory teams on dozens of transactions covering the full spectrum of the middle market. Earlier in his career, he led engagement teams as a strategic consultant with Arthur D. Little and worked for Deloitte & Touche LLP’s Corporate Tax and Valuation Groups. He has been a pioneer in the use of synthetic equity in S-Corp ESOP buyouts and is recognized as an expert on buyouts, taxation, valuation, and ESOP legal and compliance issues. He earned his B.S. in Management Science from the University of California at San Diego.

Dan Mytels was born and raised in Northern California, and currently resides there with his wife, Michele Tatos, who is the CEO of Community Vocational Enterprises (, a leading triple bottom line social entrepreneurship organization.  In their free time, they enjoy competing in organized volleyball tournaments, playing soccer, hiking and traveling, especially in the Southwest.
